Dreamlink T1 CatchUp TV

Dreamlink T1 CatchUp TV is a new feature recently added to this amazing box, but how catch up TV works?

It is basically a feature that allows you to watch a show that already passed.  This is a great element because it turns your Dreamlink T1 in a PVR that you do not have to program.

Let’s see an application.  Suppose you missed the game you wanted to watch so bad and you did not have time to set a PVR, DVD recorder or whatever you use to tape.  The only thing you have to do is go back in time and press the OK button.  This is possible thanks to the unique 7 Days EPG Dreamlink T1 is capable of.  EPG is not a  feature that comes active with all IPTV channels, but if the channel has EPG and Catch Up TV enabled, you are certainly in the path to watch your favorite show even if it has already passed.

As long as the channel you are interested in, has the function active, you can go and play back Catch Up TV.

Time Line

As you can see in the picture, the channels with the featured Catch Up TV have a little play symbol; which means the function is available for these channels.  There is a line set on the screen (green line) that marks the current time. Everything to the right of that line is live TV. Everything to the left is TV that already passed and you missed it.

However with Dreamlink T1 catch up is so simple as scroll to the left, go to a show you missed, and press the OK button to play it back.  On the picture above, you can see how the passed EPG has a little clock symbol that indicates it can be played back.  This payback function does not depend on Dreamlink T1, but on the IPTV service provider.  The amount of time you can go back to play back content also depends on the IPTV service provider.  If the service provider decides to set a play back time frame, you will notice it right away.  Some IPTV service providers allow up to 30 hours of content to be play back. That is plenty of time to check what you already missed.

In the picture above you can see the play back function active.  The same way as you will do with any other stuff you have previously recorded using a PVR, you can also do it when you play back.  You can Play, Pause, Fast forward, Rewind and use the standard features on most devices.  Skip all the advertisement  and  save  time when you play back and enjoy the show.
